Segue Center is the missing link between your high school graduation and the rest of your life. It is the haven you can return to day after day to plan your life goals and to help you achieve them.

Students with learning differences, social challenges, anxiety issues, and attentional difficulties often persevere for years through elementary and secondary school programs to achieve that sought-after goal – a high school diploma. But then what?

After Pam and Kendall Quarterman identified a gap in support for neurodivergent individuals after they graduate high school, they co-founded Segue Center to provide flexible support to these young adults no matter what their next step may be.

Pam and Kendall - along with experienced educators, therapists, and counselors - have designed a program to provide support in a multitude of areas:

Meet the Team

  • Pam Quarterman

    CO-FOUNDER, DIRECTOR EMERITUS

    Pam Quarterman, M.M.Sc., CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist, educator, and administrator, has been leading a highly successful, innovative private school for bright, learning-different students, ages 3 – 18, for over thirty years in Dallas.

    Pam and Kendall started Segue Center together to address the needs of young adults transitioning to adulthood, particularly those whose challenges are overlooked or invisible to coworkers, fellow students, professors, peers, and the world around them. Pam now serves as the Director Emeritus of Segue Center, advising and assisting with curriculum development and services from her new home in Virginia.

  • Kendall Quarterman

    CO-FOUNDER, DIRECTOR

    Kendall has a background in law and education, having taught students of all ages who struggle with learning differences. Growing up helping special needs children instilled empathy and a passion for working in the community here in Dallas. After becoming a licensed attorney, Kendall expanded her professional skills to find ways that she could continue to serve the learning different population. In addition to classroom experience, she has also served as an Education Advocate for students in the public school special education system. Kendall has previously taught multiple subject areas to different age groups, and also runs our social skills RPG groups for ages 14+.

    PROGRAM ASSISTANT

    Jon has been in education for over 31 years and is an incredible addition to the team at Segue Center. His approachable nature has allowed him to instantly develop rapport with members, and his knowledge of the Dallas community helps bring new context and perspective to the team. We may only have him on certain days, but his impact is felt far and wide!
